About Cherrie

My name is Cherrie from the Philippines, and I currently work as a call center agent. I am a single mother with an adult son, and I am also a proud grandmother of two — ages 7 and 3. My youngest grandchild has autism and congenital heart disease, which requires ongoing therapies and care. This experience has deepened my compassion, patience, and understanding of special needs, and it motivates me to work hard to provide for my family. I have a background in caregiving for both children and the elderly, which has taught me responsibility, empathy, and the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment. My dream is to work abroad, not only to broaden my experience but also to help support my family financially. I want to contribute to my grandchildren’s education and ensure that my grandchild with special needs receives the therapies he requires. I see opportunities like becoming an au pair as more than just a job — they are a chance to share my caregiving skills, build meaningful connections, and create a better future for my family.

Why I want to be an au pair

I want to be an au pair because caring for others has always been my passion. My background in studying caregiver work for the elderly and child care has taught me patience, empathy, and responsibility. I enjoy creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and grow, while also supporting families in their daily routines. Becoming an au pair gives me the opportunity to combine my caregiving skills with cultural exchange, allowing me to share my values while learning from a new family and environment.
