About Christine

Hi I am Christine. 25 years old. I am the eldest among 5 siblings. I grew up basically helping my mom taking care of them. I am very close with them especially my little sister who's 8, so we have 17 years age gap. Most of the time I get mistaken to be her mom as we're always together. I love spending quality time with her as much as I can.

Why I want to be an au pair

What draws me most to the au pair experience is the opportunity to become part of a family while discovering a new culture and way of life. I love the idea of living abroad not only as a visitor, but as someone who can build genuine connections, learn from a different culture, and contribute positively to a family’s everyday life. I also see being an au pair as an opportunity for personal growth. I would love to become more independent, experience a new environment, improve my communication and language skills, and create meaningful memories with a host family. Most importantly, I enjoy being around children and would be happy to support them, spend time with them, and be someone they can feel comfortable and safe around. I am hoping to find a warm, respectful, and welcoming family who sees their au pair as more than just someone who helps around the house. I would love to be treated as part of the family while also having mutual respect for each other’s privacy, routines, and boundaries. I would especially appreciate a family that communicates openly and clearly, is patient and understanding, and is willing to introduce me to their culture and everyday life. In return, I would do my best to be responsible, dependable, caring, and flexible, and to make the family’s daily life a little easier. I am open to different family structures and backgrounds. What matters most to me is finding a family where we can trust and respect one another, communicate comfortably, and have a positive experience together. I would describe myself as responsible, adaptable, organized, and caring. I understand that becoming an au pair comes with responsibilities, and I am willing to learn and adjust to the family’s routines and expectations. Beyond childcare, I hope to bring a positive and friendly presence to the home. I would also love to share a little bit of Filipino culture with my host family while learning about their traditions, food, and way of life. For me, the best part of being an au pair would be that both sides get to learn from each other.
