Why I want to be an au pair

One of my biggest dreams has always been to travel to the United States, experience a different way of life, and explore new places. But beyond traveling, I've always had a genuine love for kids. I enjoy spending time with them, making them laugh, teaching them new things, and being part of their little adventures. Taking care of my younger siblings, cousins, and nieces has taught me that even the simplest moments with children can turn into the most meaningful memories. For me, becoming an Au Pair is the perfect opportunity to combine two things I truly love: caring for children and discovering the world beyond my comfort zone. I want to experience American culture, meet new people, and share the warmth, traditions, and values of my Filipino upbringing. More than anything, I want to become someone my host family can trust and someone the children can feel safe, happy, and comfortable around. I don't just want to be the person who looks after them; I want to be a positive part of their childhood, someone they can laugh with, learn from, and create unforgettable memories with. Being an Au Pair would mean more than fulfilling my dream of visiting the United States. It would mean becoming part of a second family while growing into a better version of myself.
